This said, the ending still has nearly as much to appreciate as the rest of the film owing to the performances and particularly cinematography. The second half, where Harry’s path gradually crosses that of Peter (the ever-welcome James Remar), a policeman visibly tormented by his guilty conscience, proves a severe disappointment. Everyone has pitched in subtle metaphor of imagery and what not.
Very disappointing. Someone help me I AM LOST. I watched narrative suffer through incoherent changes between dreams, visions and reality. It could almost be excellent as well, nicely winding its intrigue for just about the entire first two thirds before things start to go wrong.
WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for the Season 6 premiere episode of Fear the Walking Dead, "The End of the Beginning.". whats with the Room 305/503 thing?
Was it a joke on the audience? It tried to be atmospheric and dark, but it turned out as the dullest slice of dreck I've ever had the displeasure of viewing.
Out of all the movies I've seen in this lifetime, only a few movies were as bad as Fear X. I do agree with the other person here who has left a comment, this movie will be the biggest waste of one and half hours of your life. Fear the Walking Dead introduced a new villain in the Season 6 premiere, but why didn't the character even make it to the end of the episode?
Exactly what happened there at the end? It was just very sad to see a guy who started out with such a strong distinctive cinematic voice churn out something so completely unremarkable. It's about a guy who's wife got killed, and he's looking for her killer through old tapes.

As others have said, the ending destroyed the movie by leaving too much to interpretation.
I even went through and replayed some parts to see if I missed an integral clue. I don't know, but either way i found it to be a deeply unsatisfying viewing experience. And the early sections suggest that the movie is going to deliver handsomely: intriguingly ominous and laconic scenes immerse us in the grief-stunned world of widowed Wisconsin security guard Harry Cain (John Turturro). Here's one that adds fuel to that fire, I'm afraid. And of course that pisses off a lot of people because they’re not used to a film without an ending. Prompted by mysterious visions, he journeys to discover the true circumstances surrounding her murder.
Not so good if you don't enjoy using your imagination and require everything spelled out, but worth a watch for fans of the offbeat and low key. The first strike against it is that it's a PG-13 horror film, and those are always watered down and lame.
Ducktales: Could the Show Incorporate Gargoyles into its Disney Afternoonverse? Security guard, Harry Caine (Tutorro) lives a life of lonely obsession after his wife's mysterious shooting at the shopping mall where he works. This utterly pretentious film fails to tell us a story worth listening too.
The Season 6 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead introduced Emile LaRoux (played by Demetrius Grosse), a bounty hunter out to collect the head of none other than Morgan Jones (played by Lennie James). You'll love this... Lynchian Movies.

"When we started to see his performance, we kind of fell in love with him. About halfway through the movie, I kept feeling that there were some parts cut out of it or perhaps I went into a coma and missed some connections. Take my advice and put it back on the shelf as if its a real copy of the RING video.
Who knows? I found it to be quite effective and genuinely intriguing up until halfway, then it became gradually apparent that there really was no cogent story. , Learn how and when to remove this template message, Sitges - Catalan International Film Festival, IndieWire Interview with Nicholas Winding Refn, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fear_X&oldid=975704318, Articles lacking in-text citations from December 2017, Articles needing additional references from December 2017, All articles needing additional references, Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License, "Harry’s impossible quest raises questions, but it all adds to the brave elliptical nature of this film. Il taglio delle bracce dato che non si vede(si vede la katana su uno sfondo nero che cala) la prendo come una metafora di un taglio alla vita passata. "So that's just something to keep in mind.".
So did Refn ever get to the bottom of those questions in his own mind? The symbolism of these hotel scenes could scarcely be more overt – Harry’s death-wish has been clearly implied from almost his first appearance, but just in case we don’t get the message Refn lays on various shenanigans involving a spooky lift, dark corridors and even an image of exploding red liquid to indicate homicidal fury. On paper, this collaboration between Refn and co-writer Hubert Selby Jr – the terrific American author responsible for novels like Requiem For A Dream, Last Exit to Brooklyn and The Demon – promises much. The photography is great. Well picturization wasn't particularly pretty and I would watch a painting if I wanted imagery. The pursuit of justice does of course run closely in parallel with Harry trying to come to terms with the murder of his wife in a shopping mall. This movie literally took me 4 days to watch.
Cain joins his near-namesake Harry Caul from Coppola’s The Conversation (1974) and the hyper-driven heroes of Antonioni’s Blow Up (1967) and De Palma’s Blow Out (1981) – each of them probing the limits of their times’ technology to solve what may or may not be a murder and/or conspiracy. | And the kind of sign of that is him taking the life of the man who is hunting him down.".
As much as I like Turtturo I really feel that he is better suited as a supporting actor and not the lone star. critics and the media are always obsessed with novelty.
OK, so this movie looked promising.
WandaVison Funko Pop!
I was so angry that I even decided to make a comment about it, which is rare for me.
We never gave more in the script. I have NO IDEA what I just watched. First you gotta sit through a really slow building up story.
Through his creations of unnerving environments we wallow in a visual richness without which would leave the film ineffectual. But we loved the character so much. And there was no explanation anywhere on internet to make sense too. A really disappointing and unsatisfying movie, with headache causing flashes, uneasy sounds. Why eliminate such a potentially promising villain so soon, though? He grips with low key intensity, his face a rarely troubled mask that nonetheless seems to hide deep feeling, a terrific creepily convincing turn. The troubled Harry Caine searches for the killer of his wife but more importantly the reason for her death, the basic thrust of the film therefore is the penetration of a mystery. Sadder still is that this was Hubert Selby Jr.'s last project before his death. Who's house was across the street, why did Remars wife and kids film negative end up there ? On Metacritic, the film earned a score of 61 out of 100, which means "generally favorable reviews.
I have a master's degree in psychology and enjoy a good read as well as a good movie plot.
John Turturro is Harry Cain, a mall security guard mourning the death of his wife. (He) keeps Fear X fascinating. Harry becomes obsessed with finding out exactly what happened, spending every free moment scrutinising the mall’s CCTV archives and pinning blurry photographs of potential ‘suspects’ to the wall of his home to creating a montage that looks like a piece of conceptual modern art.
